The necessary storage used by the game and choices for future optional services.
Current pre-launch position
HOOPS.ONLINE currently uses first-party session and browser storage needed to keep the service secure, remember local game progress and preserve user choices. Optional advertising and analytics storage is not activated merely because a preference control exists.
Necessary storage
- A secure, HttpOnly session cookie authenticates the current browser session and supports revocation.
- Local game saves preserve My Club, Daily IQ, unfinished-run and interface state on the user's device.
- Age-eligibility and privacy preference records prevent repeated prompts and enforce the user's choices.
- Security storage supports fraud prevention, rate limiting and account protection.
Optional categories
- Analytics — helps measure reliability and aggregate use after the required launch controls are enabled.
- Advertising — permits non-essential advertising storage where allowed and selected.
- Personalization — permits eligible personalization where allowed and selected. It remains off for users who are not eligible for personalized advertising.
Changing a choice
Cookie and browser-storage choices can be reopened at any time through the title footer, Legal Center or Account privacy area. Rejecting optional categories does not disable the core game. It may result in contextual rather than personalized advertising when advertising is introduced.
